In case you missed it, Garmin is updating the G1000. The new version is called the G1000 NXi. The processors in the G1000 were over a decade old, so the ability to quickly draw maps and perform other graphical tasks that people expect their computers to do was becoming too hard. They NXi introduction has been announced for Beechcraft, Piper, Cessna, and Cirrus, but I think all the manufacturers that uses G1000 avionics is going to use the G1000 NXi from now on.
The big upgrade here for Cirrus is the new engine for the SR20 G6. They're going from a 6 cylinder Continental putting out 200 HP to a 4 cylinder Lycoming putting out 215 HP. Fewer cylinders to maintain plus almost 10% more power is a big upgrade. Useful load is up 150 pounds. Should make for a nice airplane.
