Like many pilots, I don't care for weather. If there's one topic I'd like to avoid studying, it's weather theory. It's terribly unsexy, but every time I come across a weather theory article, I dig down into whatever stamina that got me through the most tedious nights of law school, and I read it. Leaving you with that thought, I can't wait to see how many of you read this, but it's a good big picture view of global weather systems.
Mountains, at night, with icing conditions, nasty crosswinds, and marginal fuel reserves. I probably would have called it quits after the first landing, but... well... choose your own adventure.
